Mindfulness takes practice, we start by considering the many parts and aspects needed to produce something, like the apple at the market. Then we try to imagine and answer who, what, where, when, how and why.
Example: Who planted the apple tree? What does the tree need to grow? Where do they grow or can they grow anywhere? When do they harvest apples? How do they get to the market? And why are apples so sweet but turn brown when we take the skin off?
All these questions have answers, we can take time to investigate and as we learn we begin to appreciate the facts about that apple at our table. Becoming mindful with each different person is also an act of kindness. But we really do need to start with ourselves, be honest remember we have been at thousands of places and in so many situations since our birth, we dismiss the worth of our experience.
